ACEP celebrates International Women’s Day under the theme « Invest in women, accelerate progress »

As part of the International Women’s Day celebration, women from ACEP Microfinance agencies in Cameroon organized a series of dynamic and enriching activities. These activities were designed to promote the economic and social empowerment of women, as well as to celebrate their achievements and resilience.

Activities on March 2, 2024:

On March 2, 2024, women from ACEP agencies in Douala and Yaoundé kicked off the day with a sports march, starting respectively at 6:30 a.m. at the Nylon agency in Douala and at Olembé in Yaoundé. This march brought together a large number of participants, aiming to encourage a healthy lifestyle and promote team spirit among women working within the institution.

Activities on March 8, 2024:

 On this international day dedicated to women, an awareness workshop was organized around the theme « Invest in women, accelerate progress » This workshop addressed crucial subjects such as the economic empowerment of women and equitable access to financial resources. In the evening, women from all ACEP Cameroon agencies mobilized in each city for a festive celebration. These events provided an opportunity to highlight women’s achievements within ACEP and to strengthen ties within the ACEP community.

The active participation of women from ACEP Cameroon in International Women’s Day demonstrates their commitment to promoting gender equality and women’s empowerment. These activities have helped raise awareness, celebrate, and inspire, underscoring the importance of solidarity and collective action in the fight for women’s rights.
